solution. The following client examples show how Vanco has designed the optimum solution to meet their differing
requirements, through accessing a portfolio of different options and integrating
them into a seamless solution.
MPLS Matrix – Siemens
Siemens AG had a requirement to provide a seamless MPLS solution connecting
1,600 sites and supporting 417,000 employees. This was not possible via a single MPLS
network and Siemens approached Vanco to solve the problem. The solution that Vanco
employed utilises a cherry-picked ‘matrix’ of MPLS carriers, each cost-effective in certain
parts of the Siemens’ global empire. Vanco is providing the integration and management
of the Exchange Points which enable the provision of end-to-end Classes of Service and
Service Level Agreements.
Voice and Data Integration – IBM/Lloyds TSB
Vanco signed an agreement with IBM to deliver the network integration and management
component of its wider outsourcing contract with Lloyds TSB as the bank moves to a
national dedicated high-capacity fibre, DSL and MPLS network supporting both voice
and data communications. The network will include technology from a variety of carriers
to provide high performance connectivity to all 2,500 Lloyds TSB branches and 1,000
cashpoint machines.
Hybrid Solution - Bacardi
For Bacardi, Vanco is incorporating various product sets within the overall solution. The data
network is a hybrid solution, employing an MPLS core to larger business critical locations,
with ADSL IP VPNs as back-up to secondary sites. The network covers the USA, Latin
America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Less critical sites will be connected using internet VPN
with ISDN as back-up. Additionally, Vanco is providing Bacardi with secure remote access,
as well as monitoring and reporting on end-to-end application performance.
